Armed informal diamond miners in Zimbabwe's eastern Manicaland Province, scraping a living in desperate times, are resisting attempts by police to remove them in increasingly violent clashes.

yes people in Zimbabwe have do to that because of economic hardship. No matter what, even if the policemen and the soldiers, shot people or what, people will not stop go to Chiadzwa, because the situation there in Zimbabwe is just serious.
The policemen and the Soldiers also accept bribe, because they are the least paid in Zim. They also steal diamond from the searchers and they sell the diamond for their own benefit. the situation is just difficult for every one
