The government last week tried to show a semblance of normalcy in the education sector by going ahead with Grade VII examinations and holding a graduation ceremony at the University of Zimbabwe (UZ), when there was no learning for the better part of the year right from primary schools to universities.

It will take decades, not years,for the country to recover from the last 12 years of Mugabe's mis-rule. In the mean time the country will have to rely of hordes of itinerant ex-pats rather than its own human capital, who have been sacrificed on the alter of zanu-pf political expediency.
Let us "hope" the educational system isn't as bad off as the health infrastructure. At "least" the educational system isn't KILLING it's students like the hospitals are killing their patients from lack of medicine!
