The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday defended its planned celebration of its 10th anniversary, stating that it has restored democracy in Nigeria , after 16 years of uninterrupted military dictatorship, thereby ensuring the sustenance of democratic rule in Nigeria .
