Zimbabwe's political crisis deepened on 14 November with the withdrawal of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), led by Morgan Tsvangirai, from the moribund power-sharing deal with President Robert Mugabe's ZANU-PF.

That it took so long before Mr. Morgan Tsvangirai to finally give up on expecting Mugabe / Zanu-pf to keep their word is a great testament to his patience and love of his country; my admiration for him has increased many fold. Why, even after the accords were agreed on, would mugs & co. do this? Simple : Robert G. Mugabe is guilty of Crimes Against Humanity, a Proven Mass Murderer, and wants to die in office. That his people are suffering, being tortured and starved to death, makes not a wit to him or his cronies; it is the ultimate exercise in narcissism. Mark my words : Until RGM dies, there will be no peace in Zimbabwe. Sadly, it won’t, at first, end there, for those around him will continue fighting for the lie that they are, and for the same reason. In the mean time, expect more of the same : Monies given for fighting disease and hunger will buy plasma TV’s and new cars for the few, and the rest of the country will cry out in misery. My prayers are with the Zimbabweans ~ not the lunatic few who now hold sway.
God Bless You Morgan......At last an intelligent decision. Mugabe's and his fancy uniformed henchmen will never negotiate in good faith. Just maybe it's time to fight.
TexasBob, Of course, this Morgan is a stooge and a loser! If he thinks he is fooling Mugabe, he is wasting his time because we all know that he is not for Zimbabweans but a western stooge! AM HAPPY THAT HE HAS PULLED OUT because he was selling Zim for cheap to the west. Finally, disrespecting the SADC decision was rather arrogant on his part since he was the one campaigning vigorously for that same SADC meeting that made the ruling he did not like!
Zimbabwe will survive, and prosper WITHOUT WESTERN ROPE-ATTACKED AIDS! Now that he has pulled out, the SADC will get full reason to ignore western sanctions and help Zimbabwe! For those planning civil war, the CIO will deal with them accordingly wherever they may be! The west must get over its lost of business domination in Zim, and move on! God bless Zim!
Jumakamao uribwa yemunhu, you should use your brain kwete kufunga nemachenge, if SADC can help zim why are they waiting. Uchifungao
Whatever name you want to call Morgan Tsvangirai- go ahead. This does not change the facts and the reality of the matter. Zanu(pf) dupped Zapu at the unity accord, that was that. They are pulling out. Can you blame the west for that? Can you blame Tsvangirai for that? In the first place Zanu(pf) was luck to have MDC to agree to the power-sharing talks. You want to deputize and marginalise them like you did to zapu cdes! What SADCC are you talking about? If Mugabe cannot respect the very same regional body he claims to have made a ruling on the matter then who do you think should respect those lunatics. A simple procedure-Mugabe was asked to leave the conference room to allow for unbiased deliberations, he refused. Instead he was telling them what to do. Thats a circus? Tongai tione!
You blame everything on the west? Hausikunyorera vanambuya kumusha. We know what is happening around us. Who is more racist a white man in America who voted for Obama for presidence, or you and your Zanu(pf) corrupt and greedy stooges of Mugabe who blame their greedy and corruption on the west. Be real man! Change! Yes we can!
Zimbabwe forever!
No, you can't. MT is a coward. MDC is chicken in the dickens. If you want power, get in the ring dudes, and fight.
Do you imagine that your anti-Mugabe 'srguments' cannot be flipped? They are not just worth refuting, seeped, as they are, in irrational and affective discourse.
Mugabe is the man. Is there another man or woman out there who wants to take him on? Knowing Mugabe, his riposte would be: "Bring in on, Comrade"!
Cheers.
Its funny. Mugabe loses in the poll (theres no denying this) so your resort to fighting to keep the power, like a school yard bully that doesnt have the intellect to get by in life.
Let the people speak!
For God's sake, the people have spoken: the brave fighter against the Smithists and their modern incarnation qua neo-imperial, reactionary, xenophobic obscurantists: Cdr. MUGABE is the leader of Zimbabwe. Got it, now?
Or, are you summun bukum humyun?
Highest Considereations.
It all began some 10 years ago when Mugabe and Dos Santos stopped the imperialists from annexing diamond rich DRC. After crowns’ lands were repossessed in Zim, Bob’s head was to be brought to the queen of England with blood dripping. Machinations for regime change were then put into gear by UK/US/EU and were to last, maybe, for six months as Tsvangirai kept on prophesying the demise of Mugabe’s gvt. Today RGM is still leader though the economic devastation of the country by hegemonies bears fruit of how monstrous imperial capitalist can devastate. Morgan has ultimately joined the road to where every african sell-out spent the last days of their lives – Europe.
your comment is of someone who has been brainwashed .Are you that blind that you cannot see the situation around you or in you.Open your eyes if you have them and the westerners have nothing to do with zim situation, the thieves are right there, you are a pedestrian and they drive porche cars,i cannot believe there is people like you in zimbabwe, are you not a foreigner in zim,coz clearly zimbaz think better than that. The country now looks like a museam because of people like you Tsvangirai is right he does not want to be used by thieves to ask for foreign donors they have even hijacked other countries currencies including the us$(western)what a shame .wake up and smell the coffin brother, you can only see the ass of a chicken when the wind blows
A sparkling example of an anti-Comrade Mugage 'argument' that is not worth refuting. Come up with an argument devoid of affect!
Cheers.
Your hubris eclipses Mount Kilmanjaro: you proffer the silly proposition that you KNOW how ALL Zimbabweans think. In the name of Zeus, how could you know that?
Look dude, you are free to hang your fate on the sprinter MT; but why, for crying out loud, would you efface the RIGHT of anyone to support the Iron Man, the great fighter, Cdr. Mugabe?
I, for one, support the GREAT FIGHTER, and should you have a problem with that, you are free to criticize the grounds of the excercise of my will, which you have not done; instead you hide in the hut of vacuous invectives, the currency of 'thinking' soaked in the toxic stew of obscurantism.
Highest Regards.
you are the stoogie yourself and wonder how many days it took you to type this with electricity failures.Zim cannot be sold any cheap,to be given as mbasela,no one can buy it..try even a 1year old for an answer.Maybe you might change your views when they cut your ration stoogie
Jumakamao, the saying that fools are born everyday totally applies to you. I suppose you think that all the electricity power failures are caused by the West too and not because Mugabe has defaulted in the payments to South Africa, Mozambique and the Democratic R. of Congo. Zimbabwe would have it even worse if it was not for the fact that the reserve bank is buying Old Mutual shares on the Zimbabwe stock exchange which are then transferred to the Johannesburg stock exchange where they are held by Eskom Pension Fund as security against payments for the electricity. In September alone 670,000 Old Mutual shares were transferred. Ask yourself why there is no money in your country. There was plenty of it before and the West did not come and take it. Mugabe filled his pockets. Gideon Gono stated that you guys are lazy and are not working and producing enough - another fool blaming others. Obviously he is not without food as his half a dozen chins prove it.
Fusheke Jumakamao you are a damn sucker uchafa uchipembedza vamwe. You damn green bomber.
It is so funny, if not tragic, you Mugabe lovers and his zanu-pf continue to exist. You must be some of those hyper-uniformed troops that Bob has surrounded himself with. Now let me ask you a question. What do you have in Zim anyone would want....Cholera,hyperinflation, no medical services, no government that represents the people, AIDS, no running water, no electricity, oh yes I forgot.....NO FOOD. Boy has zanu-pf and Mugabe taken care of the country. Y'all have nothing anyone wants, except the poor souls you have brutalized and I hope they can get out of that toilet you call a country. I knew Rhodesia and at least everyone had a full belly 3 times a day. Y'all tossed Ian Smith but you don't have the balls to toss Mugabe. I lost a dear friend to your so called "veterans." A black run Zimbabwe is a total failure and you are part of it. At least Morgan figured out you and your country was a losing proposition.
You are right about everything except"A black run Zimbabwe is a total failure.....".Skin colour has nothing to do with it.Stop living in the colonial era.
Munonyepa: point well taken sir. I am sorry for the afront.
TexasBob, what was the use of the Zimbabweans having a full stomach three times a day when they were oppressed by Ian Smith and had no rights in their own homeland? Had you been a black person (assuming you are not) then you would have known a different Rhodesia. Granted it was well run and fiscally sound in spite of mandatory sanctions, the opulence was not enjoyed by all. You would, however, be totally right in saying that a Mugabe-run Zimbabwe is a total failure.
why are you always blaming colonialism when it comes to our own failure?we all know for a fact that we always run the country as if its a family/personal business and forget its the peoples country.Zimbaz have messed up Botswana and South Africa and its mostly these people the same ones from up North, why,.Even in the western countries its the same people that destroyed the country that claim bogus assaylum and the genuine Ndebeles that desrve this arent getting it because the place is infested with people who idolise rubbish and disGrace
TexasBob, You are a foolish idiot, you are a stupid cunt, you are an uncouth racist. How can you celebrate colonialism in front of people who suffered under it? I benefitted totally NOTHING from colonialism except misery, subjugation, oppression, enslavement and deprivation.
I never had a full belly and 3 meals a day in Rhodesia, I did not have medicine during Smith's reign of terror, I did not have education, shelter, land, and I never dreamt of participating in the mainstream economy during colonialism and now you tell me that I was better off under those conditions. You must be joking, whiteman. I just cannot find words to describe your stupidity.
You are a Datan that rebelled against Moses. The same allegations you are make against Zimbabwe's liberators are the same ones that those who were liberated from slavery were making against Moses. But let me tell you one very important outcome of that story - they were defeated (at the battle front) by Moses, Joshua and Caleb.
You, MDC and your mercenary friends will also be defeated in the same way. If you are foreigner and of colonial extraction (which I strongly believe you are), be assured that you will lose more mercenary friends in the coming battles - mark my words!!!
Today we are dying of hunger and disease under the sanctions that Tsvangirai called for. We are suffering from many other problems, some of which you mentioned, all because of Tsvangirai and the MDC who called for sanctions. The sanctions Tsvangirai campaigned for are hurting not only Zanu pf supporters but even his own mother and relatives in Buhera, and you want us to celebrate that? GO TO HELL A THOUSAND TIMES.
However, in answer to your question, "What do you have in Zim anyone would want...", let me tell you that Zimbabwe is the only country that has managed to empower its people through giving them back their stolen heritage - THE LAND.
We known that this is what you want from Zimbabwe no wonder you are training a militia for Tsvangirai in Botswana just as you have done for DRCongo. We will, not only, forever guard this very important resource jealously but WE WILL DEFEAT YOU left right and centre!!!!
Well that makes two of you. TexasBob, you live in the past and should become enlightened. Both of you are racist fools that make no sense. I am sorry if under Ian Smith you had no education, medicine, hospitals or food. You must have been in Mozambique or some part of Zimbabwe that has no infrastructure. If you were in Harare or any other develpoment point, then it was all available. Unfortunately you are as bad as if not worse than TexasBob, you want the people of Zimbabwe to suffer 10 times worse than under Smith all because you want some geriatric person to continue in power. The only people who want him are those that stand to profit at the expense of all others that are suffering from this terrible misrule and wanton misuse of power. If you and Mugabe want to stay as rulers of Zimbabwe then treat the people the way they desrve to be treated without threats, partisanship. All anyone wants is a just and equitable society. I though that was what the revolution was about. If you did just that then no one, including the West, would have any problem/reason/excuse to impose any pressure or critisism. However what you are doing is creating a society that is split, suffering, hungry and sick and you have nothing anymore to offer them other than threats and intimidation. If this is your version of a democtratic free Zimbabwe then you do not deserve to be in power.
I see why Zimbabwe will never be free. It is because we have racists both black and white in the country who do not want to accept the past and move forward in creating a better Zimbabwe. Why is Zimbabwe suffering today? Is in not Mugabe's misrule in the first place.
1)You take away land from the white people and give it to many ill-prepared black farmers and what has been the outcome?---poverty/ not food security...
2)Mugabe violates human rights for the benefit of a few money hungry thugs...and you expect to get more money from the IMF and world bank to bank roll the vicious atrocities? Was it really Tsvangirai that brought sanctions to Zimbabwe or the very same people that are ruling us right now? You be the judge.
3)I wonder if the reporters for the government run newspapers think that their writings are being read and believed...I read those reports/stories to get an insight on what the government is up to. It's like looking into your enemies generals camp to extract what their next move will be in the battle front....right now the enemy is getting ready to fight a losing war..Mugabe please be warned. You will never win against the will of the people. You might die in office, I hope you repent before you take your last breathe because Hitler will be your personal tour guide when you arrive in Hell.
4)To those who think that Zimbabwe does not offer anything to the world, you do not have to look further than Marange where diamonds are easily found. The west as well as the east want a piece of that. We have a lot to offer...
A Zimbabwe under Mugabe or any of his thug friends will not prosper in a modern world. A country under Tsvangirai will benefit a transitioning country, we will need more than Tsvangirai to recover from the bad governance Mugabe has strung Zim under.
I do not care who is stupid or intelligent. That is not the debate we need to be having. How are we going to pull Zim out of the wrack..thats the debate we need to be concentrating on.....
God's Blessing to Zimbabwe
To: takunya in Buhera: I read with interest your articulate and profane vent. Obviously you are educated to a point. As I am 70 years old, my years of training mercenaries are long past. But there are several areas of this Gods Earth I love, and one happens to be your Zimbabwe or Rhodesia as I knew it. I had a near and dear friend hacked to death by Mugabe's veterans. Mugabe gave all their land to several of his generals. Now the land is producing Nothing..zeros like your dollar. It used to produce Maize, soy and support cattle. OK, you have the land that Mugabe has given you.....now do something productive with it. Obviously you and I saw different parts of Rhodesia at different times. But the last time I was there, I did not recognize anything. I felt something I really enjoyed had been taken away, never to come back. Y'all be Well...Feel free to call me any name you want to. But remember...anyone who calls someone a racist is a racist themselves.
Texasbob, As somebody who does not support Robert Mugabe, I still disagree with your comments about white anglo minority reign in Zimbabwe. Ian Smith run a dictatorship in Zimbabwe and used propaganda to hide unemployment, poverty, hunger and disease in Zimbabwe. Clearly white anglo minority propaganda in Zimbabwe was as bad as zanu-pf propaganda, in fact I would go further and say it was worse! White anglo minorities in Zimbabwe never represented the will of the majority, like what Tsvangirai did in the last honest elections. It is Ironic, that people world wide would much rather prefer their "own" oppressor (looks like them) than somebody from miles away professing to be a democrate, when in fact their is no evidence of that.Just to remind you that Ian Smith died in isolation and few people mourned him, with the exception of the white community.
You call Tsvangorai a westrn stooge, well if that were so, so wht. Here is Zimbabwe in a nutshell under the current Despot
No Sanctions No camps in Botswana No food No economy No fuel No electricity No schools No fire department No hospitals No doctors No clean water
Plenty of:- Garbage on the streets Cholera People opposed to Mugabe corruption Despots
Seems Tsvangorai has made the correct choice, why be associated with losers. Mugabe wants go give all the smaller ministries to Tsvangorai so he has someone to blame for his c*ckups. Mugabe, if it aint the weather its sanctions, western plots, nasty neighbors, the uninformed that have caused the collapse of Zimbabwe. He has ruled with the hearts and minds of the people foremost, is why he is despised? Freedom fighter that never saw the front line, assasinated his opponents to win power. Murdered 200 Matabele and is in the process of killing millions with his dictatorial policies. With Mugabe Zimbabwe will never recover condemning the populace to misery for the rest of their short lives. SADc needs to wake up and realise that before long there will be more than 50% of the population of Zimbabwe escaping to South Africa. Xenophopic behavior will only increase.
This commentary is not accurate, the MDC communique says the MDC will participate once Amendment 19 has been passed, but te heading to this article suggest they have pulled, is this not misleading
Morgan Tsvangarai should now go to London and rent a small apartment where he can proceed to invite his friends from the fallen empire, there they will feed him on beans and soup and give him some love, In our Africa, He remains a suspect, a traitor, self-seeking and crude riff raff.
I don't get it uoxleonard! Some people are more Zimbabwean than others? Why do you want Tsvangirai to go to London, doesn't he have a place to live in Zimbabwe? What happened to his house in Harare? What happened to his birth place- Buhera? Every Zimbabwean has a right to live in Zimbabwe. If Buhera is part of London then you might be right. You are a brainwashed idiot.
Not a bad idea for Morgan to go to London...form a government in exile ...raise the $$$$ needed and then come back and kick zanu-pf and Mugabe out for good. Open question to zanu-pf.....what the hell have you ever done for the good and well being of the people of Zimbabwe? I know the answer, you are being graded on this pop quiz.
The last thing Zimbabwe needs is Jimmy Carter there. The man is a complete idiot , it is greatly his fault that Mugabe is in power now , he refused to recognise Ndabaningi Sithole , Muzorewa and a few other people that would have helped Zimbabwe in the 70's, by insisting Mugabe be included in the Rhodesia/ Zimbabwe settlement, going so far as to use the CIA, now this moron wants to get back in the fray. He will probably try to redeem himself and salve his conscience of the hurt he helped cause in Zimbabwe by backing Mugarbage in the 70's. I hope all take note of this failiure of a human being and ignore his interference in Zimbabwean affairs, he already hurt all Zimbabweans very much by helping Mugarbage. Send Carter packing , don't be taken in with him , he'll probably sell Tsvingarai down the river along with the Zimbabwean people. Nobel peace prize winner ? What a joke , almost as bad as JOC , look at the chaos he caused in Iran by helping oust the Shah, then on to Nicaragua to bring down merry hell on the people with the evil sandanhistas. Sure he is a man of peace ! Kabanga ???????? Kick the bastard out of Zimbabwe , he has done enough damage !
"Mugabe is now expected to form a government without Tsvangirai -"
Finally. Cde Mugabe was te winner in that election - despite an abundance of foreign-inspired shenanigans similar to those foisted on the Kenyans by foreigners during that country's presidential elections2007.
Losers who are spurned by the voters in USA's or UK's elections are not accorded the chance to get into leadership using ruses such as resisting recounts and re-votes and insisting on sharing governing duties equally. Such ruses render elections irrelevant and a waste of the people's scarce resources. So why does the USA and UK force African countries into such inherently destabilizing compromises? [ Maybe because they are destabilizing!]
" .. which many fear signals a return to the extreme levels of violence .."
The people of Zimbabwe gave Cde Mugabe an overwhelming mandate to govern. That also means that he is charged with the solemn duty to protect the people from enemies saboteurs, within and without, who are bent on committing acts of sedition.
Wasn't this Tsvingrai guy accused of treason at one time? Was he found culpable or not? If he was, then why is he still breathing - freely? Is that the way - however magnanimous - to best protect the people of maZimbabwe from those who would harm them?

PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe is in a quandary on forming a government despite getting the go ahead from Sadc and his politburo.
[ See Article ]
This is so funny to sMugabe be stuck is a tough place even with the approval of the SADC leadership. He and the zanu-pf do not control the necessary seats to amnend the constitutions so it will be interesting in what happens next. Tsvangirai hold your ground Mugabe and the zanu-pf need you worse than they let on...
The politburo thanked Sadc leaders and Mbeki for a "job well done". These are not the suffering Zimbabweans. Sadc leaders and Mbeki you should know who you want to help not. Those are rich thugs who are looking for a way of having British Pounds or USA Dollars the only stumbling block is the travel sanctions. Suffering Zimbabweans would tell you you as Sadc leaders you were conned and fell for self serving initiatives by Zanu PF.
Is gt a Mugabe hack placed in here to spew Marxist dribble on every article that tells the truth about Uncle Bob and his cronies?

THERE was high drama at the Southern African Development Community (Sadc) summit in Sandton on Sunday when President Robert Mugabe refused to leave a session of the meeting after he was requested to do so by the chair, South African President Kgalema Motlanthe.

This comment is on Mugabe. Mugabe help liberate Rhodesia, others should respect him as an old war horse. He paid his dues without him there would be no Zimbabwe,Perry Fisher,MD
Fisherperry you are certainly MD - Mentally Deficient. If Mugabe had murdered any member of your family you would be the first one to call him what he rally is, a murderer of Zimbabweans. How do you think those who lost loved ones through Mugabe feel reading your flippant post? Your appreciation of such a man shows what sort of person you really are, and I hope the MD does not stand for Doctor of medicine because if it did then I would be reminded of the doctors who like you, appreciated and worked with Hitler in his quest to torture and murder innocent Jews and others. Your admiration of Mugabe is repulsive.
This comment is on Mugabe. Mugabe help liberate Rhodesia, others should respect him as an old war horse. He paid his dues without him there would be no Zimbabwe,Perry Fisher,MD
Dear Mr Fisher, MD No less.....Please dso not comment on something towards which you have very limited knowledge. Adolf Hilter rejuvenated the German economy but was responsible for almost 25 million lost lives. Mugabe responsible for the death of at least 500000 since independance.
Dr Fisher, Mugabe paid his dues and became an idiot and now it is over! He has disgraced himself by holding onto power for too long and he is largely irrelevant to the lives of many in Zimbabweans. He has lost all credebility as a freedom fighter and will die in disgrace!
These leaders have failed, all of them, to drag an issues such as allocation of Ministries to a full SADC summit shows immaturity and lack of leadership abilities. The politicians to not get it, Obama made it very clear in his campaigns, in todays world,it is about the economy and the focus should be on the economy more than the security ministries. MDC needs to go to the drawing board before they drag the issue to AU or UN because the outcomes might not be in their favour and like ZPF, they will end up name calling for people who might not see things from their perspective, we are tired of this. Zimbabwe needs solutions, and food on our tables not mapurisa kana masoja, hatidye mapurisa nemasoja.

A SADC resolution for the establishment "forthwith" of a government of national unity in Zimbabwe brought a controversial closure to the cabinet-formation impasse between President Robert Mugabe and the Morgan Tsvangirai-led MDC although it did not leave room for an appeal process, analysts have said.

The SADC decision tests the maturity of MDC - it is only when one loses that one's democratic credentials are really shown. ZanuPF has already shown its lack of democratic principles because it cannot handle defeat. Will MDC show us a different kind of political leadership? It seems obvious to me that the best way forawrd is to abide by the SADC decision because the only realistic alternative - civil strife - can never be in the best interests of the ordinary people of Zimbabwe

Taurira Mugabe Zimbabwe ndeyedu tese. Zanu Pf is now in the opposition this is what you should have presented to SADCC. Kana vave minority vango fanana na smith. Smith ruled and killed people to force people to recognize him that is what Zanu PF is doing. Smith talked of communism and and Mugabe talks of Sanctions. The end is nigh.
