I would take these bogus western anthropological studies with a grain of salt. The reason there is unprecedented rise of populations in southern regions is that NRM/Museveni policies that for the last twenty five years have favored the southern populations and disfavored northern polutions usually at the expense of the latter have, by design, decimated the northern populations. Uganda too has seen an influx on peoples, illegals who are non-Ugandans who masquarade as Ugandans, vote for Museveni, and hold passports while the indigenous Ugandans are routinely denied passports. Fact: if you are outside Uganda and you come from the wrong (northern) tribe forget about renewing your passport. The Ugandan embassy staff, who are entirely NRM/Museveni operatives do not serve people who originate from the northern parts of Uganda. The illegals who NRM cadres give official legal passports on the other hand are globe trotting and committing all manner of crimes as Ugandans. NRM is a facsistic Trojan Horse created and ridden by Museveni to take over Uganda from the South working its way up to the north, while killing off the northern populations, scorched earth style. The NRM manifesto has always stated that it is in a protracted, long drawn-out fight or war against northern populations. Today it is the Karamojong tomorrow it will some other people.
