A high-level Eritrean delegation led by President Isaias Afwerki participated in the "Conference of the Sudanese People's Initiative towards Peaceful Resolution of the Darfur Issue" on 12 November 2008 and once again reaffirmed the ever-genuine support of the people and Government of Eritrea to the initiatives for peace by the brotherly people of Sudan.
