Chief Ogbe has spoken well and he is not far from from the truth. For once, Ogbe should be asked what his contributions were to the economic development of Nigeriaas the Chairman of the self acclaimed biggest party in Africa in the direction of the problems being lamented about today. Must the nation wait for when oil is not selling well in the international market as it were to know that our economy is in the hand of external forces. We as a nation left other areas such as agriculture that earned the country high resources and foreign exchange in the past at the mercy of cheap oil money, now we are about paying a bitter price for our negligence, thoughtlessness and economic mismanagement. My prayer is for the oil to dry up or become useless entirely so that we can wake up from our deep sleep. By then, the booming of the guns, kidnapping and the murderous struggle to clinch political offices for the purpose of loot sharing will become unfashionable. May be then, we shall look inward to other areas of natural and agricultural endownments. Ogbe used his tenure as PDP Chairman to grease the elbows of Obasanjo's misrule until he (Ogbe)was shown the way out. Now he can see clearer. What did his party (PDP) do in the areas of electricity generation, road construction/rehabilitation, employment generation etc while he was there? His ideas are good and welcomed. Regrettably, our political leaders never see well when in power, it is when they are out they become wise Counsellors. As a cushion effect for the envisaged bankruptcy as being predicted by Ogbe, he should counsel his political mates to return our collective stolen wealth for the development of the nation. People like Ogbe should be blamed for the current problem of Nigeria. He can not pretend to be holier. God bless Nigeria.
