I think the person who made the last comment is an idiot and have absolutely no idea of what to comment on. I am pretty sure this person is one of the many Liberians that always think that education is everything. Please don't get me wrong, education is the key to many successes in this world that we live in today. Mr. Dee that I don't know have work his whole entire life being the best engineer in his discipline that he could be and now that he has succeeded in some what by taking over one of the largest engineering firms in this great country called the United States and for him to be ridiculed its a shame. We are suppose to be our brothers keeper and not bring people down for their successes but rather be happy for them. So mr previous writer please have some decency of apologizing to Mr. Dee beacuse he has work his rear ends up extremely hard to be where he's at today. There are thousands of engineering firms in this country and for one of our very own to lead the 28th largest firm and we criticize him for not being educated its a shame. Mr Dee may not have gotten an ivy league education that if you know what an ivy league is, but in the eyes of many he is highly qualify and my hat goes off to him. Last but not the least mr previous writer, I am a very young man who recently graduated college here in the U.S and I look up to people like Mr. Dee and tell myself that I can be whatver I want to be if I dedicate myself to my decipline. I definitely don't ever want to be like you because its a shame for me to see success and take it for anything less than what it is. Engineers in the U.S build our infrastructures here so it is very unlikely for an American company to entrust someone they don't think qualify to lead the 28th largest engineering firms in the U.S. Thank you.
Thanks Mr. O for your comments. I may not know Mr. Dee but I am happy for his accomplishments so far. We Liberians are so naive in our thinking and self destructive. Instead of us been happy for Dee achievements, we are on here criticizing him by saying he is not a heavy or not highly educated, The guy hold a BA and Master degrees what education do you want him to get in other for one to acknowledge him. So because he is not a Phd degree holder so he not educated? I just obtained my BA in political science from Metropolitan State University in Minnesota,USA and currently studying development studies and international polititical studies at Uppsala University in Sweden. Are you telling me that my education don't count because I am not a so call heavy weight (phd holder)?
Our country is just recovering from civil war and our professionals (labors force)are aging and we have very few professionals to fill the vault, it will take Dee and others Liberian enquiring education in Liberia and abroad to fill in. So stop hating and be happy for the Brother.Try to get your own education and contribute to Liberia.

I would like to thank Mr. Dee for his achievement so far. I wish him the best in his endeaver.
This is a great achievement for a fellow Liberian, which demands commendable applauds. But it is unfortunate that this poor analysis of the US economy, along with Mr. Dee's "not [being] a heavy weight in the education department",whatever that means, is a dis-service to Mr. Dee.
And judging from Mr. Dee's experience in the area the years and the area of responsibilities,it is ridiculous to say he is not educated enough.
To the author of this comment, I would like to comment your aforesaid prespositions such as Mr. Dee is not a heavy weight in the education department and the United Stated of America is in depression. With respect to your first preposition, you failed to explain being a heavy weight in the education department. Having said that, you left the reading public in a state of dought. If you were my student and presented this work to me, I will give you "F" because your preposition is relative, and not specific.
And let me correct you on your second preposition, America is not in a depression, but moving to a depression. More to this, if Mr.Dee applies for unemployment, is not your concern. He has the rights to apply for unemployment because he is paying taxes to his state of residence and the federal government.
addedum These are the present living conditions,,,,,There is a cholera epidemic ,the electrical generating plants have all been shut down for several years, the water purification plants have all been shut down for several years, the crime rate is high ,rape is sky rocketing, food is not available, health care collapse, law and order problems,no sewerage system ,no functional toilets in the entire country the entire country is in total darkness nightly only those with personal generators have lights or electricity. There must be a zillion construction engineers in America and a significant numbre of them are unemployed.Your Dee could start by returning to Liberia and help develop infra structure ,he is in a country where he is redundant. Now back to the cyber sociopaths attacking my right to free speech if both of you were back where you belong you would be living under the forementioned conditions,Alas, you go scrounging in a Dempsey Dumpster some where in America find a computer in a dumpster and begin to spread poison on the airways.....The moment the wrinkles and mis meal cramps leave your stomachs you begin to do that which you are genetically engineered to do that is do hateful things without rationality. You need to go back to your bread baasket country,Africans are dysfunctional, real crazy mis behaving ententies and all efforts to civilize them are wasted efforts

Fisherperry: What's your beef about? Mr. Dee's promotion, which he rightfully earned,is really troubling you. What exactly is the point you are tring to make? I am trying to make sense of your seemingly angry tone and verbiage. Do yourself a favor, read and understand an article before responding to it. I might help inject logic in your tone. If you dont have anything to contribute, stop wasting prescious space.

Good article.
Now, can you also write about the Liberian engineers appointed to leading positions in Liberia or in Africa? Or don't those engineers or the Liberia-based companies amount to much?
So what ,Dee is not a heavy weight in the education department. Most importantly America is in a depression there will be few if any construction work going on Dee will be like the Maytag man ...nothing to do except go and apply for unemployment benefits
