United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa)

Due to the armed conflict in North Kivu province between the Armed forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (RDC) and rebels of the National Congress for the Defence of People (CNDP), some 6,000 people have found shelter in the town of Minova in Kalehe territory some 150 kilometres north of Bukavu, capital of the neighbouring South Kivu province.
