I worked fairly recently on a humanitarian project in tChad for the benefit of the refugees from Darfur.I was at the Gaga champ.I oft times wondered about the security in those camps .I can affirm the truth in this article based on my own observation.The gendamarie protecting that camp was a contigent of three tChadian policmen.They were stationed far,far from the camp and had no transport that camp was at risk from invasion by the jingerweed at all times .There was an extremely high incidence of gender violence and violence against the bodily integrity of women on a daily basis that involved the nationals of the hosting country.The move to beef up security is long ,long ,long overdue.Alas,the host country will demand a huge sume of money in order to empower that move.It has been said that the tChadians were making a handsome living off hosting the refugee population.This is like being the pyromanic and the fireman at the same time
