The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will not lift itself out of its “heart of darkness” until it addresses the human rights violations of its brutal past, writes Olivier Kambala wa Kambala, a Congolese human rights lawyer and co-founder of a new initiative, the Congo Memory Institute.

These are very strong statements to elucidate in everyone's memory how people of DRCongo have suffered because of selfish interests of materialistic groups and individuals. In the light of the above clarifications, today's justice will never leave in peace authors of such atrocities but will punish them accordingly. So, well established governments and autorities will never have deals with any notorious criminals or instigators of genocides and ethnic cleansing leaders. In the same way Hitler could be treated if he was still alive today, similarly new African Hitlers should. Whenever justice is not done this types of crimes will never end and people's wound will never be healed. We all know how the World Biggest Democratie, US, is treating big offenders. In the same way the law must be implemented to deal with those who are causing atrocities.
