I am from Guinea Bissau

I have read you article and I found that some of the facts described are not true and some comments show that you know very little or nothing about Guinea Bissau.

Unfortunately like yourself both ECOWAS and AU experts know very little abou Guinea Bissau. All decisions they make are alwais against the people of Guinea Bissau. The decision of Senegal and Guinea supported by ECOWAS and AU, to send troops to Bissau in 1998 is the proof of it.

Now concerning what you have said about Koumba let me tell you that the government formed by Koumba Yala in 2000 was the worse any contry could ever had in the world. Koumba destroied the country more that the war. Despite the majority ein Parliament it was the most instable government 3 prime ministers minister have been changed two times or more.

Koumba is a clown that came to power after a war again after big pressure from the so called international and african organizations obliging the interim government to hel elections eight months only after the end of wr in 1999.

Koumba is a shame of the contry and guineans.

Koumba Yala has no clue about anything and he would never be able to establish a fully-fledged democratic state by creating the legislature (with the electioneering of representatives)as you said.

After all mistakes and stupid things he has done in three years It was not possible to leave Koumba in power.

The coup was not done by Vieira but by the army. The Interim presendet was not Vieira.

Vieira come back to power in 2005 after elections.
