The administration of incoming United States President Barack Obama is likely to continue the militarization of U.S. policy toward Africa unless it comes under pressure to change direction, writes AllAfrica guest columnist Daniel Volman.

The US Africom Command seems to be fairly non responsive. My son, Patrick Mack, and Lonnie Davis, Jr. were murdered in Ghana January first this year while serving in US Navy. Africom will not respond to me for any information. I recommend ths command be disolved if they cannot take any responsibility. They seem to have no leadership that will handle any difficulties. What will they do when a big issue happens?
