It is sobering to think that this racist, illogical garbage may actually reflect the thought processes of the so called 'ruling party'. No wonder zanu-pf has been utterly unable to adpat to the realities of the 21st century; they are still stuck in the mindset of a time long since passed. They need to go now, and not a minute later.

Katz...I cannot believe that Zanu-PF themselves actaully do believe this. Absolute insanity.

Uncle Bob should read the book` Animal Farm`. It could have been written about Zimbabwe. As his cohorts continue to hide behind the apron strings of past colonial wrongs, they defile and demean Africa. He is just Ian Smith`s mirror image, without an ecomony.

President Mugabe stressed the importance of Zimbabweans remaining the masters of their own destiny. What a pipedream especially when one has to beg for international aid, when one can not pay Soldiers, and when the country is plagued with cholera. Sorry mhani!!

President Mugabe was correct in that. However, despite his flowery rhetoric, his actions have long betrayed his true goals. If he truly ever believed Zimbabweans should be masters of their own destiny, he would have let Nkomo rule Zimbabwe after the people elected him. He did not, because he himself has never believed the words he speaks. Mugabe does not believe in Zimbabweans being their own masters, he instead believes that they should accept Mugabe as their new master, now and forever, and serve him as they once served Ian Smith. The only real difference between the two is that Smith had economic skills that would at least see food, even if just sazda, on the tables of every citizen of Zimbabwe. Mugabe has an "honorary economics degree" that is completely unearned and clearly not matched by any actual skills he posesses. His only skill is the ruthless suppression of any dissent, a skill which Smith obviously lacked, and a skill that has already engraved Zimbabwe's sad fate in Africa's history.

From these Mugabe Quotes bellow, Mugabe has really brought suffering to his people. I do pray for an intervetion in the country to bring about change Zimbabweans will believe in so that this suffering ends. I cry for the country even though i am from Kenya.

In the first case, why should Mugabe apeal to the international community for help now if he is quoted contrary to as in 10, 17 and 21 bellow? This is a shame to Africa. Quote:

1. "Countries such as the U.S. and Britain have taken it upon themselves to decide for us in the developing world, even to interfere in our domestic affairs and to bring about what they call regime change. Robert Mugabe

2. I wish to assure you that there can never be any return to the state of armed conflict which existed before our commitment to peace and the democratic process of election under the Lancaster House agreement. Robert Mugabe

3. If the choice was made for us, one for us to lose our sovereignty and become a member of the Commonwealth or to remain with our sovereignty and lose membership of the Commonwealth, then I would say, then let the Commonwealth go. Robert Mugabe

4. In most recent times, as the West started being hostile to us, we deliberately declared a Look East policy. Robert Mugabe

5. It may be necessary to use methods other than constitutional ones. Robert Mugabe

6. Our party must continue to strike fear in the heart of the white man, our real enemy! Robert Mugabe

7. Our votes must go together with our guns. After all, any vote we shall have, shall have been the product of the gun. The gun which produces the vote should remain its security officer - its guarantor. The people's votes and the people's guns are always inseparable twins. Robert Mugabe

8. People are free to campaign and they will be free to vote. There won't be any soldiers, you know, at the queues. Anyone who has the right to vote is free to go and cast his vote anywhere in his own area, in his own constituency. Robert Mugabe

9. So, Blair keep your England, and let me keep my Zimbabwe. Robert Mugabe

10. Some people are contriving ways and means of making us collapse. Robert Mugabe

11. Stay with us, please remain in this country and constitute a nation based on national unity. Robert Mugabe

12. The land is ours. It's not European and we have taken it, we have given it to the rightful people... Those of white extraction who happen to be in the country and are farming are welcome to do so, but they must do so on the basis of equality. Robert Mugabe

13. The only white man you can trust is a dead white man. Robert Mugabe

14. The white man is not indigenous to Africa. Africa is for Africans. Zimbabwe is for Zimbabweans. Robert Mugabe

15. True, some land was bought by a few Cabinet Ministers. They bought the land. No minister, to my knowledge acquired land which was meant for resettlement. Robert Mugabe

16. Was it not enough punishment and suffering in history that we were uprooted and made helpless slaves not only in new colonial outposts but also domestically. Robert Mugabe

16. We are no longer going to ask for the land, but we are going to take it without negotiating. Robert Mugabe

17. We are not hungry... Why foist this food upon us? We don't want to be choked. We have enough. Robert Mugabe

18. We don't mind having sanctions banning us from Europe. We are not Europeans. Robert Mugabe

19. We have said the first step was to designate the land, inform the owners. And the second would be to get the responses from the owners. And this will be openly done. Robert Mugabe

20. We of Africa protest that, in this day and age, we should continue to be treated as lesser human beings than other races. Robert Mugabe

21. We pride ourselves as being top, really, on the African ladder... We feel that we have actually been advancing rather than going backwards. Robert Mugabe"

African are ready and should be ready to reclaim their dignity. Some African countries have done it already, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana amongst others. Zimbabweans hopefully will be able to reclaim their dignity once the dictator Muagbe has been removed, tried and sentenced. Able to reclaim the dignity of living in a clean enviroment, dignity of being able to shop and eat freely, dignity of having access to their money. Dignity of free expression. Dignity to not to have to live in fear.

Ol' Bob has just declared a state of emergency 'cause he and his cronies need the foreign currency to flee. Some also say he started this epidemic for this very reason! Secondly, lets start a pool for the date ol' Bob starts running. [This is to encourage you to stay, Bob, so we can arrange your execution without the tedium of diplomatic niceties] First prize will be that you get to tell ol' Bob that he is under arrest and escort him to goal. He may, of course, like Hitler take the cowards way out.It wouldn't surprise me.... Thirdly, please don't shoot the journalist!I am very sure that he doesn't mean a word of it but he has a family who really depend on him in these fraught times.

Thank you - Even a small child understands that blocking access to money (a.k.a lines of credit) that would be used to invest in farming etc is not an act of kindness.

But is is okay money for seeds etc will be released soon for the 75 and we can go and do the hoeing and live in the chitumbas.

Do you wanna bet they are thinking the same. Fungai

All the equipment in the world is of no value when the knowledge is not there on best farming practices! It takes many years to learn best practice farming and you need agronomists, soil scientists and farmers of a very high caliber. Zimbabwe has very few of these now and it will take many years to rebuild the knowledge base. A top farmer with only the most basic equipment can do amazing things if he has top level knowledge! Being a farmer of one of the highest yielding broad acre farms in the world, i know i little bit about farming and best practices. It will take many, many years to recover Zimbabwe's agricultural sector without quality agricultural colleges.
