President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has visited the residence of the former Chairman of the National Transitional Government of Liberia, Mr. Gyude Bryant in Monrovia. An Executive Mansion release says Wednesday's visit, coming on the eve of the New Year, was part of the President's goodwill gestures marking the holidays.

This is just one of the basic or plain old-fashion leadership traits; it is staying in touch with the people; it means she is connected with the people, regardless of status or class. She is serving the people, as leaders are required to do, not ruling them, a model embranced by previous rulers, like Doe and Taylor.It is about time Liberians get some well deserved attention from their leader.
