Even the villagers have wisedup enough. After deligently monitoring the elections with electronic cameras and cell phones they probably figured it is time to put Mugabe's money mint out of business just as they put him and his cronies to shame by humiliating them at the polls.

Once again J-hollow (Choker, AK-47 and their ilk........) ........... I give you this opportunity to respond to the FACTUAL allegations concerning the stewardship of Zimbabwe by ZANU-PF/Mugabe..............
At the present time.............
1) Inflation is OFFICIALLY 231 MILLION per cent, statistics have not been released by the government (small G) since July! Tell all of us now (to the best of your ability), what is the rate of inflation in Zimbabwe at the current time?
2) The government (small G) has announced the printing of a 10 BILLION Zim Dollar note. Tell all of us now, how much is that worth in the "real world"? How many Rand is that? How Many USD is that? How many loaves of bread does that buy? How many sacks of mealie-meal can that buy? How much sadza are most Zimbaweans eating right now at current prices?
2) (a) Most shops in Zimbabwe will no longer accept the Zim Dollar as currency. How ironic is it that a government (small G) will accept the use of foreign currency that derives from the so-called "imperialist" West when they continually denounce publicly for their assault upon the "proletariat" of Zimbabwe?
(Come now, you supporters of ZANU-PF/Mugabe, it really has been a marxist (small M) argument about the proletariat and the "Party" being a "vanguard" of the "proletariat" all along, hasn't it? The truth is, the Russians and Chinese no longer belive in that maxom! There really is NO room for opposition in Zimbabwe because you are truly wedded to the marxist idea that enemies of the "Party" are enemies of the state.) Memo to ZANU-PF/Mugabe - "YOU ARE NOT THE STATE"! The people of Zimbabwe are the "STATE" - stop believing that YOU are the only ones that speak for Zimbabwe! The people of Zimbabwe have spoken, and ZANU-PF won 43% of the population - YOU NO LONGER SPEAK FOR THE PEOPLE OF ZIMBABWE!
3) ONE THIRD of the population of Zimbabwe has left the country (FACT). Of the remaining two thirds, one HALF of those are dependent on foreign food aid!
4) AT LEAST 80% of the population is unemployed............. no additional comment necessary............
5) Most (if not all) public hospitals are closed for lack of staff or supplies
6) Most private health clinics or hospitals (that are still open) are charging their patients in foreign currency
7) 70% of the population of Zimbabwe is without clean drinking water.
8) 2,200 Zimbabweans (officially - and we ALL know how these sort of OFFICIAL statistics tend to inflate as the news gets worse) have perished from cholera, an easily treatable and easily preventable disease.
9) Schools are currently closed. The exams from last term have not been marked. The teachers refuse to mark the exams from last term and refuse to show up for this term - when are the schools of Zimbabwe going to open? Do you truly believe they will open at month's end because the government (small G) says they will?
Against this bill of indictment, how do you, J-hoolw, AK47, Choker and the rest of your ilk continue to support ZANU-PF/Mugabe?
When ZANU-PF/Mugabe "took" power, the agriculturall sector of Zimbabwe was second to none. The educational system was the envy of all Africa. The healthcare infrastructure of Zimbabwe was an example to all post-colonial countires.
What has ZANU-PF/Mugabe done with this benificence? They have run it all into the ground!
You and your ilk NEVER argue here with FACTS about how ZANU-PF/Mugabe has benefited the people of Zimbabwe! You always rant about the "Rhoadies" and the "Colonial Oppressors" and their desire to "re-colonize" Zimbabwe.
Do you even get that the "West" has no interest in re-colonizing Zimbabwe? What does Zimbabwe have that the "West" cannot get elsewhere without the headaches that dealing in Zimbabwe entails?
In case you didn't get the memo, the "Rhoadies" have left Zimbabwe. The only "whites" left were those that allowed themselves to be decieved that they actually had a future in Zimbabwe, they have disabused of that!
But in case you didn't get the memo - read the immigration/emigration statistics. Or maybe you should read about the fall of the Soviet Union.......... Eventually, people want to decide for themselves. They want clean drinking water and schools that educate their children. When they are sick, they want to be able to go to the hospital. When they complain about the lack of services, they want their government to respond!
For whatever reason (be it Western sanctions, sabotage, chemical warfare, etc....) ZANU-PF/Mugabe has been unable to keep clean water flowing into the taps of Zimbabweans. They have failed to keep the schools open. They have failed to provide supplies and staff for the hospitals. Even in the Soviet Union they had clean water, open schools and hospitals!
It doesn't matter at this point WHY ZANU-PF/Mugabe have failed, the point is, they HAVE failed. If such a revolutionary govrernment was "Totally Empowered", Zimbabwe would have shrugged off western sanctions. But the FACT is, ZANU-PF/Mugabe have not met the basic needs of their population. They cannot provide claen water, they cannot keep the schools and the hospitals open - the FACTS show that ZANU-PF/Mugabe have failed what once was the promise of Zimbabwe!
But you go on trumpeting the so-called "victory" of this and that part of Harare while the rest of the nation suffers under the yoke of ZANU-PF/Mugabe.
If you ever get over the name-calling and making up words - I dare you you post ONE simple post rebutting the FACTS!
You cannot, and thus you do not, answer any post here without resorting to name calling and made-up words. You contribute NOTHING here just like you contribute NOTHING to the well-being of the people of ZImbabwe! You have no solutions, no plans, only hate, racism and sarcasm.

Yes, as messed up as my own country is, I wouldn't trade it for today's existence in Zimbabwe. I don't share TexasBob's feelings, for I was NEVER a "Rhoadie", I don't hate him for it, but our experiences are different.
HOWEVER: As I have said before, if you want to compare Zimbabwe to Rhodesia, the FACTS are NOT in favor of Zimbabwe........ despite however racist the regime of Ian Smith was, I would defy you you to argue the following:
1) Under Ian Smith's racist regime, water was clean and pure to drink. 2) Under Ian Smith's racist regime, schools were open. - Even Robert Mugabe continued his academic studies while imprisoned. 3) Under Ian Smith's racist regime, hospitals were open - and staffed
The question for you J-hollow (& AK47, Choker and their ilk) is:
If a racist regime like Ian Smith's Rhodesia can provide clean tap water, open schools and hospitals, then explain to ALL of us why ZANU-PF/Mugabe CANNOT?
It is ironic that the "liberators" cannot do better for their own "people" than the "oppressors" did. Otherwise, it is only an indictment of the incompetence and greed of ZANU-PF/Mugabe!
