THE media gave ample space to MDC leader Arthur Mutambara to articulate his views on the future of Zimbabwe as its people desperately seek a lasting solution in 2009.

MDC faction leader Mutambara's views on the future of Zimbabwe were very disappointing and shocking. He absolutely is no future leader of Zimbabwe. He basicallly sound as though he believes every word from Mugabe. Arthur Mutambara has no political background or even common sense on what the future of Zimbabwe should look like.He Has become a stooge for Robert Mugabe. He attends every meeting Mugabe calls for and he has not challenged Mugabe in anyway. I'm surprised that we even call him an opposition leader, when in truth he is an ally of Mugabe.
Tell me my friend, would Mutambara's views be held in higher esteem by you if he had blamed all of Zimbabwe's ills on Mr. Mugabe and ZANU-PF instead of the West? If he had just ignored all the efforts of the West to make the Zimbabwean economy "scream" and focused on the mistakes that the government has or may have made, would he be your (and the West's) hero, just as Mugabe was before he decided to do something in the interest of the indigenous African population instead of the colonizers and their progeny? I would be interested to know what your view of the future of Zimbabwe is? Does it perhaps call for stooges of the West being installed as "democratic leaders" to give the allusion that Africans are in charge of things in their own countries, while the resources of these countries are controlled by and used for the benefit of foreigners? Is it so frightening that Africans doing things for the benefit and in the interest of Africans instead of Europeans?
Mutambara and Makoni you have done a lot. It will be hard but do not be afraid for there are many who will try to shake you.
Very good text. It's just the way it is. Thank you for your courage, because I realize it's needed to publish such a story under present conditions. Go on with your analizes please.
