who the hell cares about Africans and their many problems? The world os tired of Africa and its continued backwardness.

The people are too illiterate to understand their rights. They are at the continued mercy of the jerks who rise to power for self gain.

If you go to the various Malagasy websites, they do not even seem to be aware that they are Africans. They tend to promote their supposed indonesian ancestry; and yet all I see are a bunch of black people, illiterate, ignorant and poor. The full extent of their pride is that they decended from Indonesians. What is there to be proud of in that.

It is difficult to provide support for a people whose sole source of pride is based on an misguided notion of their identity and the order that such an identity placed them in contrast to other Africans.

That is the blind side of such a society which leaves it velnerable for exploitation by their fairer skinned rascals in their midst. These leaders tell them, "you might be poor, raggedy, hungry and uneducated, but at least you have some indonesian blood flowing in your veins and that makes you different and better than those blacks.

It is an abomination of democracy; it is antidemocratic. Malagasy deserves better. Madagascar has been robbed by Rajoelina and his ministers. What about the threats from the military and the HAT to the public including to teachers and to the hospital staff. Ravolamana has been a good president, The best president Madagascar has had so far. You may not like it but his success in business has been good for the country. Perhaps he has a monopoly of the diary business, but would you rather see that monopoly in the hands of the vazaha instead? Ravolamana is a malagasy businessman investing and putting money back into the malagasy economy. I fear that if this coup d’etat government does not step down there will be more in the future. The next one could be bloodier. Rajoelina has given an example for the next hotshot putschist to take over.
