James Ibori was the governor of this state. During his time, Billions of petrol Dollar money was sunk in the state. He was currupt, and made no impact. He is an indegine.

NNDC was saddled with certain developmental responsibilities. Billions of petrol dollar money was sunk into it. Members of NNDC were all indegines.

Federal government in the past 10 years had sunk billions. All these money were stolen by the same leader of Niger Delta .. This does not exclude Executive Governors past and present, Chairmen of Local government in the states. These are the same people employing the service of the miscreants to preasure the Federal government to allocate more and more funds which have always gone under the drain.

Militants were remnants of criminals that were used by James Ibori to fight and won an illegitimate elections, he was also a miscreant during Abachas regime.

The criminal gangs are illitrates that have upturn a just struggle into a money making venture for themselves, and remained stooges of the likes of James Ibori and the gangs in government.

These miscreants should be stoped, not by the Federal government, not by the JTF, but by their irresponsible elders who encourages criminality in the name of struggle. This is because, at the end of time, their children, and great grand children will be the looser.

Biafra is instructive. Look at the possition of the Ibos today in the scheme of things in Nigeria since the civil war. While this is not commendable, any section of a whole (Federation) that attempted self determination in this manner is difficult to be trusted by others in future. Where is Ojukwu today???

This is not happening! And this statement credited to N'Allah - "What is happening in the Niger Delta is pure criminality of the highest order, arising from total disregard for constituted authority. In Iraq, thousands of people lost their lives because of an insurrection against the government during the reign of former Iraqi leader, Saddam Hussein. We can do away with 20 million militants for the rest 120 million Nigerians to live," - can not even be imagined in this century. The world can now see the type of idiots that unfair politics put in one of Nigeria's legislature. Thank Allah for the likes of Dr Davis Sokonte.

Sentiments aside, any responsible government will not allow its soldier to be killed at the rate this miscreants have done to the Nigerian Army. Nations have gone to war because of only one missing soldier, as in Israel/Gaza.

These soldiers that were killed or missing- Are they also Nigerians at all? Do they have responsibilities to the state? Do they have families (Wife, kids, parents, coursins etc) as the members of the Ijaw communities do? Do these soldiers and sea men have rights to life as the civilians and miscreants in Ijaw communities?

Once a country looses his troops in this manner without proportionate responses, then, that state is no longer a sovereign. No President will want to be a Commander-in-Chief in that sense. No responsible Senate, or Judiciary will support such a state of affair.

The half educated/ half illitrates that are making noise on this issue therefore needs to educate themselves better about the act of govenance, statehood, and sovereingty.

Am particularly disturbed by such cries. Where were they all this while, when miscreants kidnap foreigners, rape their own people, steal crude oil and sell in exchange for arms, harrase and intimidates political opponents of their god fathers, and kill Nigerian Soldiers whenever they have taken eneough drugs?

Elections is comming in 2011. If this is not stopped, am sorry for those of you that seize the moment to critisize the Federal Government.

In regard to the niger delta crisis, i will urge JTF to stop the attack on innocent citizens of that region because, at a point, it will generate to regional conflicts in which is capable of masterminding yet another WAR in nigeria. but i do not pray for that to happen. A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amnesty International should shut its frigging mouth and get out Nigeria's business. For it to say use "reasonable force" is tantamount to condoning, indirectly, the use of any force, at all, by the civilian politicians to accomplish what should have been a democratic approach of dialogue with the minority’s demand for its right to co-exist peacefully in its homeland without harassment by the majority. If the military juntas of the past had been reluctant in using any force, whatsoever, to 'Keep Nigeria One" why is a corrupt, greedy civilian govt using this undemocratic approach to compel compliance when the same govt cannot even compel foreign oil companies to stop gas flaring and polluting the local land, air and waters? The world sat by sending subliminal messages to the "democratic" govt to continue the use of “reasonable force”, (hook, hook, wink, wink), as long as the uncaring govt keeps the oil pipeline flowing to the West for their consumption, regardless of the effects of pollution on the lives of the locals. What is more shocking is the do-nothing attitude of the national assembly who are supposed to be the representatives of all Nigerian people, not the defender of the Executive branch's brutality – whatever happens to the role of "checks and balances" between the separate arms of the govt? This civilian govt deserves to be overthrown immediately and let us go back to old days of military rule. At least, there were some peaceful order in the land - the only people that suffered were the politicians. What we have learned in the last 2 years is that democracy by civilian politicians does not necessarily guarantee freedom and peace but misery and death due to the greed of the so-called people's representatives. What a sham.

I sincerely respect Tunde's view untill he said thumbs up for Emmanuel (Governor of Delta State)

Emanuel was hand picked by Ibori, just like Fashola in Lagos state. But, that is where the similarity ended. I wish he could visit Lagos State more often. That way he will learn from the master.

Emanuel of Delta is an appology, when compared with Fashola of Lagos State. If he has used half of the resourses given to him in the past two years judiciously like Fashola did in Lagos State, he could have reduce the miscreants activities by at least half.

The likes of James Ibori and Emmanuel are the reason we have militancy in the Niger Delta, and they should tried after all these dust have settled.
