The United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) announced on Saturday that it is supporting Congolese government forces (FARDC) in an ongoing military offensive against an ethnic Hutu militia to protect civilians in the east of the country from atrocities committed by the armed group.

The objective of this kind of campaign should be to route those evil folks and drive them out of the country once for all. Displacing them for a while is a joke and will not help the country(DRC) unless MONUC uses this crisis to stay in DRC.
It is very hard to believe that some soldiers of the national army are participating in abusing the people that they are supposed to psotect. I suggest that presidemt KABILA with his deffence minister should look into this shameful matter and put these guys in jail. It is a disgrace to have such people in the army. Congolese are sick and tired of abuse and crime.
