The war of words on this current rape and murder raging on in the Niger Delta is taking the shape of the North versus our minority group in the Delta. The silence of the Southwest and the loquacious Southeast is deafening. Are the Ndigbos and the Afeniferes suddenly turned into a bunch of cowards too afraid to speak up where their alliance lies? If the table of this senseless oppression of the minority by the majority were turned, how would they feel to realize that they are on their own? We all know that Speaker Bankole has already sold his timid soul to his Northern masters (we shall remember that come re-election time), and that Ojukwu's son has become one of the spokesperson for this autocratic and visionless administration. What about the rest of the yellow-lilly-bellies? This is the time to speak up, after all, you are all benefiting from the same freebies called crude-oil, for which the landlords are been turned into "criminals" for daring to defend their homes and way of life. Therefore, whose side are you on, you bunch of sissies?
