One of the ways to fight desertification is to use another source for your charcoal:Typha. You have Typha all over Malawi. Where it covers a body of water, it more than quadruples the water lost as vapor. Clearing Typha will greatly improve your water picture. Its overwhelming renewability must be turned from a nuisance to an asset.
