THE women's movement has complained against THE POST Newspaper's circulation of a picture of a woman in childbirth, saying it is a violation of the woman's privacy and dignity.

Shikatongo, would you have said the same if those pictures were of your mother, wife or daughter. They may not qualify as pornography but they are certainly obscene. You are a sick man!
Of course there was no need to further victimize this innocent mother by displaying her state of indignity. However, even worse than the picture of woman in childbirth is the reprehensible behavior of those charged with maintaining the health of Zambians.
There can be no excuse for shutting down essential services in a society! NONE!
So-called health care professionals should CARE about the society's health as a PRIORITY. A strike is criminal if sick citizens are further harmed as a result of a strike, if preventable illness is not prevented.
We have a very big problem in this country. Those pictures were sent to relevant stake holders in good faith and in fact depicted the truth. In any case Rupiah should be thankful to the Post for the way they handled the issue. Instead of using the police to prosecute and persecute the young lady, Rupiah and his ministers should go back to the drawing board and see what could be implemented to avoid such cases. In fact there have been such instances in this country that have gone unreported. Please Mr President do not embarrass us with this matter. There are several issues that you could concentrate your efforts on rather than waste you time on such a trivial case. As for the women movement NGOCC i think they have lost their way especially on this one. That movement has been compromised beyond imagination. That movement is now all about economical survival for the founders. PORNOGRAPHIC material can not be compared to those pictures. You should be ashamed of yourselves and stop fooling people.
