According to reliable news reports, Ethiopia's political strongman of some three decades, Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, has indicated that he is to relinquish power and step down voluntarily. If that comes to pass it will be a truly epoch-making event.

The guy basically moved the country to a direction people would never imagin before. A 3000 year old country finally have moved forward thanks to this guy, he created a political atmosphere people never dreamt of under haileselasi and mengestu, finally u c less donkey in Addis, long beautiful road connecting every corener, a lot of colleges, hospitals what more do they want, and he is agreeing to leave so i take his word

I don't believe that Melese will quit his power unless he is protected by law not to be charged. Because known humanitarians complain that he is a dictatorship and they want to bring him to the international court. Or he may put the other puppet who looks like Melese Zenawi from TPLF.
Mandela dies for his people (both white and black) but Melese Zenawi dies for only Tigrians (for 3 million people). So the two leaders are extremely incomparable
