The threat by militants to cripple Nigeria's oil export is gradually being actualised as Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) has suspended its entire operations in the Western Niger Delta, covering Delta State and parts of Bayelsa State, THISDAY has learnt.

Nigeria needs to control it's own resources. If the American companies drain all the oil out and leave nothing but a legacy of corruption, pollution, and poverty, Nigeria will have gained nothing. While violence should not be condoned, this is a victory for the people of Nigeria.
Bye-bye, Shell. Don't let the door hit you on your way out and don't come back here no more. Perhaps if Emperor Yar begs for forgiveness with enough contrite and sincere spirit, the neglected teeming Nigerian poor might forgive to grant him and his corrupt and callous adminisitraton the amnesty to continue in office. But we wll never forget those innocent women and children already killed by Yar and his JTF murderers.
