PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has reiterated that he supports the idea of regional political federation before an African political union.

Thank you president Museveni, for beating against the words of Gaddafi.Such a man who has sponsored many rebel wars in African countries, helped to destroy life and property in many countries, like Liberia and Sierra Leone, can today stand for a united Africa.
No way!Africans prefer a slow and steady regional integration. There'll be a united Africa one day,but not that under the watch of the Colonel of Libya.
These are excuses from a ruler who has divided Uganda where soon each family will have ‎and be a district on its own. Diving Uganda into tiny districts has made his small bahima ‎ethnic group appear as one of the biggest ethnic groups, while he keeps the other ‎conquered tribes divided fighting both inter- and intra-tribal wars so that he can rule for ‎eternity.‎
If India, a very culturally minded people, can forge the largest democracy, using a foreign ‎European language, out of so many ethnicities why can’t Africa do it too? There are four ‎major European languages namely, English, French, Arabic, and Portuguese, spoken in ‎Africa. Africa can adopt these languages at the top tier and translate these into others - ‎such Swahili, Amharic, Zulu, Yoruba, etc - at the lower tiers. This can easily be done ‎especially in the information age that we now live in. Software translators and ‎transcribers can easily be developed where they are nonexistent to do the translations and ‎transcriptions on the fly. But really there is already a case of Ecowas – the West African ‎economic organization – that is functioning well using French, English, and Arabic.‎
And to the point of gradualism based on regionalism: to be honest the so-called regional ‎entities haven’t been that successful as they haven’t moved beyond being talking shops.‎
What is happening here is that Museveni is scared of him and his small ethnicity ‎becoming irrelevant in the larger context of the United States of Africa. It doesn’t help ‎him especially when his ambition of becoming the first East African President is fading ‎away rather quickly.‎
In the original text he quotes the break up of the former Soviet Union as one of the ‎excuses of not forming a united Africa or especially fast trucking it, forgetting the Soviet ‎Union was forged through brute force of military conquest. To the contrary African ‎Union is being forged through consultation that results in an agreed working constitution.‎
The key issues is that Africa has no record of respecting constitutions, so that even if a ‎constitutional framework were mutually drawn up there is likely to be, rather than not, ‎many mad dictators on the ready to violate it. ‎
Gaddafi, Jumping the boat will not be the answer for Africa. The African process of united Africa will require a gradual steps. I agreed with Museveni 100%. Even though, many African welcome the idea of United Africa, I think the process is still far away because of the confused state of some african nations. Jumping the boat will bring Gaddafi to power and serious corrupt practices will push us into more instability.
Some of us just want the continent to be a little mature( after Gaddafi) for this process to start. We hope Gaddafi will understand instead of pushing his way.

If Africa isn't going to Unite; We "Africans" must be ready to harvest a very bad fruits for another decades to come. OUR DEEPEST FEAR By Marianne Williamson
Our Deepest Fear Is Not That We Are Inadequate, Our Deepest Fear Is That We Are Powerful Beyond Measure. It Is Our Light , Not Our Darkness That Most Frightens Us.
We Ask Ourselves, Who Am I To Be Brilliant, Gorgeous, Talented, And Fabulous ?
Actually Who Are We Not To Be ? You Are A Child Of God.
Your Playing Small Doesn’t Serve The World.
There Is Nothing Enlightened About Shrinking So That Other People Won’t Feel Insecure Around You.
We Are All Meant To Shine, As Children Do.
We Were Born To Make Manifest The Glory Of God That Is Within Us.
It’s Not Just In Some Of Us; It’s In Everyone.
And When We Let Our Own Light Shine We Unconsciously Give Other People Permission To Do The Same.
And As We Are Liberated From Our Own Fear, Our Presence Automatically Liberates Others
[NOTE – BEING AFRAID AND REFUSING TO GET INVOLVED WON’T STOP US FROM DYING. BUT BEING AFRAID CAN PREVENT US FROM LIVING]
(Nkosi Sikeleli Africa )
God bless Africa May her glory be lifted high Hear our petitions .
God bless us, Your children God we ask You to protect our nation Intervene and end all conflicts Protect us, protect our nation, our nation.
From the blue of our heaven, From the depths of our sea, Over our eternal mountain ranges, Where the cliffs give answer.
Sounds the call to come together, And united we shall stand, Let us live and strive for freedom, In South Africa our land.

Just ahead of this week’s African Union summit in Libya, South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma has advocated an old and discredited approach for dealing with African heads of state facing international justice, write Comfort Ero and Piers Pigou. When a leader of South Africa’s ruling African National Congress speaks on such critical issues as impunity for the perpetrators of human ...

President Zuma has allied himself with Mugabe before. Mugabe was behind the what is known as the “silent genocide” He actively removed white productive farmers, most of whom disappeared without a trace. This subsequently caused food shortages across the country causing even more citizens of Zimbabwe to disappear. While this was happening South Africa provided Zimbabwe with financial and political support. I can only muse as to President Zuma’s need for impunity. Is it perhaps because he or some of his fellow politicians require impunity themselves? Or could it be because it would free them to commit crimes against humanity in order to better their status. As my fellow South Africans still seem to have a hard time reconciling the past, I can only predict heinous crimes being committed against target groups, especially minority groups including the white population of the country.
It is unfortunate that the political leadership of South Africa have shown no growth with regards to human rights or ethics. As a native South African I have experienced apartheid and persecution based on skin colour and I would have hoped that those who are educated and in charge of our people, would stop these banalities against humanity and follow the example of countries such as Canada and France. Legal action should be taken against criminal action which includes those leading to the senseless deaths of innocent people. If President Mugabe is to receive impunity for the crimes he has committed in life, then all the murderers and thieves in South African jails should be set free. Is president Zuma prepared to deal with those levels of violence that would result from such a release?
My only hope is that innocent South Africans will be at the ready to defend themselves.
But you should know that Zuma is walking along the same old road that our beloved Mandela and the confused church man Tutu both walked happily, receiving great uluration and approval from the west. THis road is the one route where the oppressed and abused are brought together with their oppressors and abusers ... namely, Mandela and Apartheid murderers and members of Apartheid secret police. Remember Soweto slaughters, Sharpville killings, Steve Biko. Tutu decided it was best to forgive and forget and move forward. Apparently I agreed with Tutu. Mugabe had earlier set an example with the Rhodesian farmers and mercernaries. And yet now every one of you do not want Tsvangirai to do likewise. Why not? Of course its all about land ... mind you the rhodesians ran a racist country and they got the farms from people who did not own the land in the first place. Stolen property is stolen property. Remember the land apportionment Act.
"Crimes against humanity" is a fiction of the legal mind, which is epistemologically virgin, but practically potent.
The concept of 'humanity' is a robustly contested; hence, hanging a law on it is an act of political prejudice, not an objectively grounded act.
How many Europeans living in what some call the "West" have lately been charged with this political prejudice, dressed in the alleged majesty of the law?
Africans need to hear the views of other African leaders. Museveni is a stooge of the west as shown by his activities in the DRC. With Kadafi's approach, it will be more difficult TO PROGRESSIVELY RECOLONIZE AFRICA.
