The Transaharan gas pipeline is a cruel joke. Nigeria has an electricity deficit of at least 20,000 MW. How can Nigeria contemplate selling natural gas to Europe before it satisfies its own power needs? I am certain that Nigeria can use all of the gas contemplated for the pipeline to make badly needed electricity for its own people. This long pipeline project should be stopped until Nigeria's own needs are met.
