I totally agree with Biti. Zimbabwe must never pay back Mugabe's debt. It is not the country's fault that Mugabe stole billions upon billions. Let Mugabe pay his own debt back, let him give the stolen money back which is in his overseas accounts and free up the situation in our country. Bob by himself could kick start the economy by himself no problem. Here is a theory and would ask anyone to prove me wrong on this. Mugabe's stolen billions are stashed in China. Now the Chinese say that they are giving Zimbabwe 5 billion US . This seems very or too close to the amount which Bob has stolen from the country, so Bob in a deal with the Chinese has asked them to say that this money is being loaned to Zim then CHina writes off the debt in the future. It's all to save face for Bob. This is why Morgan and Auther had to do a deal with Bob to get the cash back, this has to be the Look east policy which Bob has been trumpeting on about for so long and telling the west to go and hang. Bob comes out on top and has out manouvered everyone again. Bob thinks everyone is stupid but my Father in heaven sees right through him and sees darkness in everypart of his body. Remember this. The root of all evil is the DESIRE for money. This way the cash gets back to Zim and only then can Bob retire on the interest accumulated on the 5 billion he stashed in China .

Have the Chinese actually said that they are lending Zimbabwe $5 billion? I say some article about zanu-pf talking about it, but have heard nothing since then.

Mugabe might get better results returning to that stone and trying harder to squeeze oil out of it than asking the Chinese to forgive a debt. No country right now, Chinese or otherwise, is going to forgive debts when they too are struggling, least of all to one who is a known thief. As the West is soft-hearted, perhaps that might happen when Gono and Mugabe have packed their bags and a more responsible person is governor of Zimbabwe's central bank.
