It is just scare tactic. No war will come to Liberia because of the TRC list. The people on the list carried out killing sprees dring the war. They need not contest these recommendations because they know that number of lives the have erased. They murdered Liberians at will senselessly and it is ridiculous that they want to hold their jobs and preach "bygone to be bygone." No, not this time. That will path a way for the to do it again because we are "quick to forgive." All of them belong on the list and the lawmakers need to hurry up and back the TRC's effort.

What is this cry about TRC report undermining the peace of Liberia? Or is that another political scare-tactic to undermine justice and promote impunity? we will not be deterred nor perturbed by those crying wolf, wolf, to stall the course of justice. We invaded the establishment of a war-crimes court for the TRC amid public outcry for one. We shouted aloud that the TRC with all of its mandate, which should include what we now received of them, that it was the best way forward. What is the problem now? We are not afraid for another war, what we are afraid of is the culture of impunity that has the propensity to lead us down the road of horrific experiences we suffered without cause. Should in case we ever, ever, have to go down that path again, then let it be for the cause of OBTAINING AND ENSURING HUMAN DIGNITY AND TRUE JUSTICE for a society free of impunity.

The TRC reported what they think was right for the country, and it was an act of bravery to be so honest. Why can we except their report and ask those that are listed to apologize to the Liberian people. Although some of the names listed make no sense, we still have to compliment the TRC for job well done. Over two hundren thousand lost their lives in our senseless war according to CNN. It's not the time to let those killer walk our street free without apologizing to the Liberian People.

The whole world is watching what we do in Liberia & what our "leaders" do with the TRC's recommendations will set a standard by which we will be judged as a people by the rest of the world.

I am hearing people saying that the TRC missed an opportunity to advance peace in Liberia an assertion I refuse to accept. The recommendations of the TRC is an opportunity to heal the sore in the side of Liberia for good even though implementing them may be a little painful, but it is better to follow the right path to true and lasting peace than cut corners and cover the sore up for the sake of convenience.

If something is the right thing to do we do it simply because we know in our hearts & conscience it is the right thing to do and not because of convenience of any kind.

I will be surprise if those listed in the recommendations raise contentions with their names being on list: all of them know very well that this day was coming and will advise them to respect the recommensations-that is- if they have any sense of honesty, conscience and self-esteem.

Liberia does not have the capacity to prosecute those people. Why are we not being real? Bar hundreds of people from holding public office which is their profession. How do they survive? Will TRC not be killing also.

Where did TRC leave ECOMOG? Why did Nyepan Verdier not invite ECOMOG? They also committed a lot of atrocities, killing, raping our mothers, sisters and sons, uprooting our infrastructure and abandoning thousands of offsprings. Will the TRC find and prosecute them. It is not just real. Let have an open discussion about these self destruction in its many forms. All Liberians should take oaths to never have these things repeated. Remember no USA< UN< UNMIL< brought peace to Libera. Liberians themselves decided to end the war and they did. We need to build on it and avoid distraction.

If Taylor entered Liberia today and contested elections, people will still vote for him just as many other warlords were voted for. If you repeat this after 10 years, it will still be the same. This aspect of the TRC report will kill the good that is contained in the overall report. Take it or leave it, this TRC report is a suicide on itself. It is not real and not achievable. After three months it would have been buried and I will also be there for the REPASS. R I P TRC.
