Farmers in Plateau state have lamented the high cost of fertilizer this farming season. Some farmers who spoke to Daily Trust at Yandoya, Bukuru and Ouguiya markets in Jos said they find it difficult to get the fertilizer at subsidized rate because each bag now sells at the cost of N5,500 instead N1,700 announced by the government.
