I thank the author of this short but concise analysis. Sudan is and has behaved like resist South Africa of the infamous "apartheid era" all this time. Just like the article above confirms, Sudan due to its racist policies caused hundreds of thousands, if not millions to leave their homes and settle in neighboring states in the region, like Tchad, Uganda Kenya and Egypt, where the ordeal of the refugees develop another dimension, but that is another story As if this wasn't bad enough, the Khartoum government has been and may still be aiding and patronizing insurgencies like the LRA and have its army attack sovereign countries (Sudanese planes have dropped bombs in Moyo before) Over the last decade so much overwhelming evidence has been gathered enough to bring Omar eI- Bashir thank the author of this short but concise analysis. Alone for inflicting suffering to its own and indigenous people, the Darfurians , the attempt genocide should in today’s world NOT be allowed to go unpunished! It is so sad that some African leaders always find a way of interpreting simple things like good and bad, justice and injustice, commonly agreed and accepted norms to suit their papooses thus bending the rules. This to me means only one thing, blatant disregard for international law and order, contempt of the interests of their own suffering people. Why do they do this actually one would ask? Like in this case of el- Bashir, some African heads of state want to demonstrate that they are "adult" enough to run their own affairs. The other reason could be perhaps that most African heads of states who back peddle on implementing the requisitions of ICC have themselves their own "skeletons in the closet" By waving off genuine demands of the ICC, such leaders want to preempt repercussions of their tenure and thus setting precedence. It is sad that we Africans can only sit and look on while millions of women, elderly people and children have their plight disclosed to us by benevolent humanists like actors like Danny Glover and George Clooney. If “criminal” heads of states truly want to be respected and treated as statesmen who lead “adult” states, they should rule their own people such that no one will have to have them arrested! Has anyone heard of J.J. Rollings, Chisano or Mandela being looked for??!
