SA WOULD not appeal to the Southern African Development Community (Sadc) to send a fact- finding mission to Zimbabwe and would not impose a blanket arms embargo on its neighbour in the wake of current developments, President Jacob Zuma said in a written reply to a parliamentary question yesterday.

Am not really sure what the SADC function is,apart from spending taxpayer's money throwing lavish parties and not resolving problems.Apart from Khama of Botswana who I regard as a good leader and says it like it is,the rest seem more interested in keeping Mugabe in the Old Boys club irrespective of how many lives are lost in Zimbabwe. At current rate there is no doubt in my mind that eventually this will result in a civil war.
South Africa is the main sponsor of state terror in the gangsterstate named Zimbabwe. South Africa has blood on it's hands. People should not go to the blood soccer games in a country that's unsafe anyway. Shame on South africa!!!!!! Shame on SADC. Shame on Zuma. Shame on Mbeki. Crminals.
rmkooistra, Your claim that Zimbabwe is unsafe is completely unfounded and is based on your agenda. Surprisingly enough despite political upheaval in Zimbabwe, the country is relatively safe. Zimbabwe is considered much safer than South Africa. I would rather watch a soccer match in Zimbabwe than in South Africa. Zimbabwe can host FIFA soccer matches safely and I hope it does.
Another example you can hardly read. Since the soccertournament is held in South Africa it's obvious I was telling the people on this forum SA is an unsafe country. Phiri, I advised you before to go to the nearest red cross post and ask for panorama specs for dyslexic people. You still didn't go I suppose but the problem for you is getting bigger and bigger. Wait I'll write it down for you, print it out and give it to the first nurse or doctor at the clinic: H-E-L-L-O I A-M P-H-I-R-I T-H-E S-H-O-E-P-O-L-I-S-H-E-R A-N-D M-Y D-Y-S-L-E-X-I-C N-O-N-S-E-N-S-E I-S G-E-T-T-I-N-G D-I-S-T-U-R-B-I-N-G T-O O-T-H-E-R P-E-O-P-L-E P-L-E-A-S-E D-O Y-O-U H-A-V-E P-A-N-O-R-A-M-AS-P-E-C-S F-O-R M-E? I MAKE A FOOL OF MYSELF ALL THE TIME. SEND THE BILL TO ZANU HEADQUARTERS OR MY GRANDPARENT'S UNCLE'S FARMER'S FARM. Also print your recent comments so they can do further investigation overthere. Don't spoil ketchup down your shirt and speak with two words. Go now and do exactly as you're told.
RM i am having a good chuckle the next person will probably call Phiri-Phiri Phiri Chicken!!!!!!
South Africa, you are one of the Africa Supper Powers. Please continue to do what's right for all Africans. The days of thinking where'n a group, sects, or people is/are define superior above all others are OVER in Africa !!! Africa cultures, traditions, ideas and all others must implement abidingly and accordingly the way it's fit for all Africans; nothing else should interrupt or destroy that. Therefore, congratulations to all Africa Supper Powers for there descent and brilliant jobs that they are doing for all Africans. One more think, what ever Africa is tending to do; please let's think about the past (especially the cronic days) and NEVER to be repeat in or at any part of any Africa countries !!! Development and Unity Must be a Reality. May God Bless Africa.
rmkoioostra, very fun pierce indeed!!! I never knew that a former Rhodesian..turned Dutchman could still have a sense of humour!. I guess according to you I should be seeing a Doctor based on your evaluation, 15,000 miles away!
Europeans are now the new witchdoctors, because the know everything about what is wrong with Africa. Even, though there are miles and miles away. They can see Africa on the computer, desk and colonial books....Iinteresting indeed!!!
Mr Phiri, maybe in 10 years time when Mr Mugabe is out of power. Total empowerment, the african solution.

MDC's incoherent decision-making process reminds me of the song made famous by Belushi "should I stay or should I go?" This kind of vacillating attitude is an indication of Tsvan's lack of qualification to run an independent nation like Zimbabwe. How can you put the interest of one man (who used to oppress your people,) above the interest of millions of oppressed people, especially if the individual is a gunrunner hell-bent on destabilizing a peaceable society? Tsvangirai and his MDC are confused lot. After threatening to leave the unity govt, then what are Tsvang & his MDC still doing in govt? Now they are hedging their empty bluff - oh, we only want to boycott. Boycott my foot, just do us a favor, - go away – Zimbabweans will be better off for it. If the Oreos can't take the heat, then get the hell out of the kitchen, you mugus. These mischief-maker-goonies now want civil war, hoping to reap the benefit, as usual, from the misery of brothers fighting brothers, while they sit back pushing arms and ammunition for the Africans to kill themselves. It ain't gonna happen - you are just grasping at the last straw, like a fish out of water, gasping in your death-throes in Africa. Your days are numbered, even in South Africa, which is next after Mandela is gone.
The ANC and Zanu-PF are political bedfellows, cut from the same cloth and teethed on the same political ideology. Why should it surprise anyone that Zuma will not actually DO anything to help the MDC or the Zimbabwean people? The first loyalty of Zuma and the ANC lies with Mugabe and Zanu-PF. Once a fellow revolutionary, always a fellow revolutionary. Bravo Comrade.
ZimT " bravo" indeed! But I see that "loyalty" as only face value and one of cunning. If Mr Zuma is totally for his comrade Mugabe, then he would have done everything in his power as one of the leaders of SADC, to see that the Zimbabwean people for whom his friend Mugabe serves, are given every opportunity within his power, to have an implemented government of sharing and other required reforms as per their signed agreement a long time ago. The more dependent Zimbabwe is, the more South Africa and other African states make money gains on Zimbabwe. Some of the African states are more or less self- sufficient and through IMF loans are producing enough and are at present grossing well on exports to Zimbabwe. So I am not so sure about the SADC's intentions as to why they are dragging their feet. I don't think there is "loyalty" but one taking an advantage of Zimbabwe for his gains from exports from his country of South Africa.
Mugabe is just barking noisily knowing full well that he has no recognition internationally and without MDC forming a unity government, he, on his own is useless otherwise there would never have been a question of bringing in MDC into the mix in the first place. SADC has proved to be a lazy and an inept organization totally void of organizational skills or the will to solve African issues. Say the word "summit" and all go full speed like the road runner just to scoff themselves and nothing else.
