Exactly four months into the industrial action embarked upon by university tutors under the aegis of the Academic Staff Union of the Universities, the Federal Government yesterday finally agreed to sign the agreement document, which had been the contending issue since 2006.

Thumbs up for this great news! All is well that ends well. However, a tree does not make a forest. The Nigerian Government would have to contend with the other unions within the university system. We all hope fair-play would prevail. If not ...it is going to sleep with fire on the roof!
