Cheating has apparently become a defining character of our national examinations. In the first week of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination (KCSE), at least five people have been seized on suspicion of engaging in various forms of cheating, including impersonation.

The number of GRADUATES that fill in the seats of SECONDARY schools to take exams for other people is appalling.. The cheating/stealing stems from the School Officials who are nonetheless aware that it happens right under their noses , ( God forbid they had to repay that BRIBE money !!).. Not forgetting that a certificate/ Master's degree or Bachelor's has to accompany a Rafia-bag full of Naira in order to be well qualified or to be considered for a job . These parents too, are going to suffer the consequences tomorrow because it is because of their inability to choose to do the morally right thing that your SON or DAUGHTER is at the MERCY of the UN for crimes and atrocities committed against their People.. Karma stinks.. It begins from these 'small ' decisions to 'get ahead when you don't deserve to.
Please, let us keep away from this evil behaviour! when a candidate cheats in an examination room, the result is what we see on the papers as "clean A, B+ and so forth." with consequences in areas of compitence! God to a Bank, and find lots of counters, the process too slow! Go to a school, find Masters' holders in different filds, yet students cant perform better without, again, cheating. Go to a Government office, and find a man/woman who doesnt know what is supposed to be done, unless he / she sents you to come back tomorrow, to give him / her time to consult a higher office. Dear candidates for this year 2009, let's go for clean knowledge of what we learn. It doesnt matter if you get a "C plain, A plus, B plus, etc." Whom you become afterwards mattters. Bravo Candidates. Go for the best.
The cheating/stealing which goes on,stems from Corrupt School officials who are nonetheless aware that it occurs right under their noses and in most times at the advantage of their pockets. So many well educated men and women are out there without jobs after having gone through grueling years of schooling (MB/ BA/ MA )and countless number of degrees ,yet cannot get a job, because u need more than an educational qualification in Africa.. You need to know SOMEBODY. +++plus u need a Rafia bag full of Naira or whatever currency.. I visited Nigeria for 1 month and the number of Grafuates i met who were ''taking'' Secondary exams were appalling..(All expenses paid) And the Principals of these schools were aware that these candidates were not the ones on the school registry Paper... So , if African Education has to be less tainted, Start cleaning up the Principal's office...(Hopefully the CLEANERS are not paid off )!!
