Government wants to evict 25 families from Nuanetsi Ranch to make way for Zanu PF-aligned businessman Billy Rautenbach's biodiesel project. Rautenbach, who is a close associate of President Robert Mugabe and Defence Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa, has effectively taken over the ranch in the Lowveld through his Zimbabwe Bio-Energy (Pvt) Ltd.

These journalists have lost it completely. They should look at the merits and demerits of the investment and discuss constructively. The mentioning of this businessman association with ZPF is irrelevant in this article unless if the writer is trying to insinuate a certain political position. We need investors and the onus is on the journalists to report constructively. These are no the first people to face eviction neither are they going to be the last. Whenever a project with natiional interest comes into being, families might face eviction but the aspect of fair compensation must come into play, not merely advancing political postures.
