May I share with you dear readers that we had the exciting opportunity to re-experience buying the most lovely tomatoes at Lizulu in July2008. Having been away from Malawi for 14 tears after having grown up and lived there for nearly 40 years, my wife and I were very thrilled at spending 3 weeks in Malawi, and being able to breath real air!!!!. Back in our country of birth - Mauritius, the selling of products at bus stops and other public places is rampant. In the case of the ladies in Lizulu and elsewhere in Malawi, perhaps the initial step of facillitating the carting of goods from the gardens to the point of sale would be welcome. Fixed and permanent shelters at carefully designated spots for protection against rain or blazing sun could be a significant plus. I would like to correspond with persons willing to help me keep abreast with developments in Malawi. I must express that I was most pleasantly surprised at the positive changes taking place there. Keep it up Malawi - who knows we may see you soon. Zikomo Alain Toussaint
