From past lessons it should now be clear to all oil deal makers that the welfare of the oil producing delta should not only be left to the corrupt government. My advice to China if they care to listen is to put the interests of the delta people at the forefront of all business deals. Living wages, affordable healthcare, schools should be considered before signing any oil deals. If they fail to do these bare minmums, then history may repeat itself. This time it may be more fatal. All we learn from history is that we learn nothing.
