i agree with the writer, judging by the illegal activities happening in chiadzwa then, govt had to move in with tight security otherwise there could gave emerged savimbis of zim. i do not condone excessives that the soldiers could have done, but they were needed. its like telling the usa in iraq that they should withdraw soldiers tomorrow and send police instead.

The chairman of the international diamond trade monitor, the Kimberly Process, has this week said that no final decision has been taken concerning Zimbabwe's participation in the regulatory body, weeks after declaring that a suspension was unlikely.

It is the usual Alex Bell stories, rumors, hyperbole and lies, about Zimbabwe. The truth of the matter is diamond can be sold to other countries like China, India and Japan, who would care less about what goes on in Zimbabwe. I do not trust the international trade monitor group because of their politics.

Zimbabwe has done NOTHING to ensure compliance with the Kimberly Process Certification Scheme principles. This is typical ZANU-speak. Do nothing, and then complain that you've done all that you can to comply, and that anyone who comments is trying to destroy the government of national unity. We've seen this playbook over and over. Mugabe uses it virtually every day!
Sadly Minister Mpofu, your "best effort", like seemingly everything else ZANU-Poof/Mugabe does in Zimbabwe (except rape, torture & murder), isn't good enough............
Are the diamond fields still militarized? Yes. Is there still evidence of torture, murder and rape in the diamond fields? Yes. Were those two of the conditions the KP representatives laid out for Zimbabwe to comply with? Yes.
The "best efforts" of ZANU-Poof/Mugabe ALWAYS seem to come up short, don't they?
Their "best efforts" to control cholera only resulted in 4,000 deaths. Comrade Gono's "best efforts" only resulted in the abandonment of Zimbabwe's sovereign currency. Their "best efforts" actually have resulted in the continuation of rape, torture and murder in Zimbabwe........
Exactly where does ZANU-Poof/Mugabe actually put their "best efforts"?
Didn't they also promise Zimbabwe "Total Empowerment!"? I guess they also came up short on that.
As always, the "best effort" of ZANU-Poof/Mugabe is NEVER enough to actually improve the lives of the people of Zimbabwe, let alone satisfy the demands of the international community.......
But so what? Zimbabwe is "Totally Empowered!", ZANU-Poof/Mugabe it would be so and they NEVER lie, right?

Talk is cheap and human rights without people benefiting from economic activities are flattery! NGO’s as gatekeepers of human rights are right in saying human rights abuses have to be stopped in Zimbabwe. But to stop economic activities in a so-called independent state like Zimbabwe, trying to recovery from economic misery is flat out wrong! Economic progress typically follows human rights. China is a good example of that. Now the Chinese are dealing with human right issues.
Or could it be that the British connection to this NGO might have discouraged SADC countries in supporting the ban! Since technically Zimbabwe, under Mugabe, is at War with Britain!

What’s the solution to INFERIORITY CURRENCY EXCHANGE ? Stop giving away our souls one piece of money ( dollar , pound, franc, rand, deniro, rupal, euro, Chinese renminbi, rupee, Russian ruble,etc..) at-a-time .
Do research on what price your product gets in the so-called First World countries. And demand that price. This will not work unless people at the local areas do this together. Form Co-Ops and agree to charge the prices you deserve.
2) INFERIORITY = Pay by Time
There is another system used to oppress people that feeds the business owners with a lust for MORE profit. One year they may have profits of 50%, the next year they may have profits of 100%, the next year their profits may only be 75%. The system in the world will consider that going from 100% profits to 75% profits is bad for business.
How is that bad ? Profits are profits ! Many businesses have different levels of pay for the same workers.; levels such as :
a) Top Salaries – Private and only known to each individual workers b) Medium Salaries – Private “ “ “ “ c) Lower Salaries – Private and only known to each individual workers d) High Hourly Wages e) Medium Hourly Wages f) Minimum Hourly Wages

The Living Wage allows workers to live, invest, spend, save, and thrive. We can dream about having our own businesses , then wake up and attain our dreams. This is great for the businesses that pay Living Wages. For this creates new customers and new generations of customers.
As long as the system of Living Wages is in place, there will be a thriving economy and a blooming world full of optimistic activities. But it will only happen when business owners see the benefit of paying more pennies to make more dollars ! Which of you business owners will have the insight, recognition, roots, understanding, initiative, moxy, & compassion to make the step most are afraid to make.
