takunya_ndebvu you are a real idiot!!!! What has happened to Zimbabwe in the last 10 years since all the white farmers have been kicked off "their" land?? Idiots like you make it sound as if there were huge commercial farms some 100 years ago, and the white man just took them. What a joke, there was nothing until the white man built it. Your a complete fool, and the scientific world need not worry about the "missing link", you are it!!!!!!!!!!
Dagrossing;
So, as far as you are concerned the land grabbed by the barbaric Boers did not belong to anyone? If it did, what happened to the people who were occupying that land? What did they get when Boers invaded their lands? Where are they now? I can safely tell you that they got nothing and they lost everything to the marauding Boers.
The Boers who forcibly took our land did not build anything. All they were good at was trying to exterminate (genocidal style) our ancestors, as did their kith and kin who invaded the Maori land – ask Awt how they managed (genocidal style) to exterminate the Maori people who have now become a minority in the own country of birth. When they failed, they started enslaving them, subjugating them, exploiting them, killing them and sucking their blood - you barbaric, racist and cruel blood suckers.
Had it ended after they forcibly removed us from our land, it would have been better. The cruelty continued until I, born only some 50 years ago, took up arms and decide to free myself from the yoke of slavery and from colonial bondage.
Takunya you are always on the wrong platform, do you think you can convince anyone by padling lies and preaching propaganda thats lacks facts and figures. You must appreciate that 99% of the people who use internet are educated not to be swayed by cheap propaganda unless if you are just writing for the sack of pleasing someone. We know what you know, your source iof news s our source too, so the only difference is how we analyse the situation, Maybe if you go deep in rural areas where there are less informed people then you preach your rubbish
To hell with so-called white commercial farmers! While it is true that white farmers contribute something (a negligible percentage to the total food requirement), they are not critical to Zimbabwe’s agricultural industry in so far as the production of the staple maize crop is concerned.
The most important people in this industry are the newly resettled black commercial farmers. The ones denied inputs by Biti when he procrastinated on the USD210 million that was earmarked for the agricultural sector.
What will result in a "poor agriculture season" this year is the sabotage done by MDC-T of denying farmers the necessary inputs and critical support to indigenous black farmers. If all Boers still on our lands stop farming today, Zimbabwe will not starve.
Zimbabwe will only starve because our farmers have not been given the necessary support to grow food crops. After all, most so-called white commercial farmers are not growing maize but flowers and other export crops that are not a staple requirement in Zimbabwe. Of the few who grow maize (our staple crop), on a large scale, they use this as cattle feed.
One other thing to note is that those Boers who invaded our land in 1890 do not legally possess land in Zimbabwe. They got that land through congest and because of the color of their skin. None of these people bought that land from Mbuya Nehanda Nyakasikana, Sekuru Kaguvi, Mukwati, and Lobengula, Tangwena or any other African leader of that time. They just forcibly grabbed the land, with everything on and in it and made it theirs.
No regard or consideration was put to cater for blacks who were forcibly removed from their lands that then were occupied by the barbaric Boers. Africans were driven into rocky, sandy and semi-arid areas without anything including their property; which included cattle, goats, sheep, and what have you.
The properties confiscated by the marauding Boers were also never paid for. In fact, Africans, from then on, had to work for these cruel, barbaric and racist invaders in order to pay hut tax.
So when the writer of this article, Kitsepile Nyathi, says "white commercial farmers are not able to plant crops due to renewed disturbances on their farms", he is actually offending some of us who are conscious of our history.
Whites in Zimbabwe do not possess the Land legitimately and legally since it was force and racism that resulted in them occupying our country, obviously, at the expense of us indigenous black Zimbabweans.
