We helped a badly burned boy from the Western Cape. He came from a dysfunctional family. We gave him hope and a chance. But the lack of medical treatment in the WCape got him addicted on anything to prevent the pain of his burns injuries. He is lost now to Tik. Out of school. Thrown out of home. Rejected by extended family. A handsome (even with his burns scars) promising boy on the scrapheap of life. He stole to fund his habit and no one will give him a chance any more.
