Organization Details

The Secretariat of NEPAD (the New Partnership for Africa's Development) came into existence in 2001, and was conceived and developed by African leaders to promote sustainable development, eradicate poverty, and halt the marginalization of Africa in the globalization process. NEPAD has created a peer review mechanism to promote good governance and respect for human rights among member states.
