Rawling 'enthroned' in 1979, two months after his first coup d'etat on 4 June. In this photo, he is about to hand back power to a duly elected civilian leader, Hilla Limann. Limann is seated to the left of Rawlings, wearing Kente, next to the Chief Justice. Rawlings overthrew Limann two years later.
