AllAfrica Interview: Observing the Eclipse Dr. Jay Pasachoff, an expert on the solar corona, led an international observation project, which includes a team of students and faculty from Williams College, who are joined by scientists from five other countries. Among the mysteries the team has explored is that the temperature of the corona is substantially hotter than the temperature of the sun itself.
