Zimbabwe: Coast to coast southern African-style for the needy

Harare — Relaxing in Harare earlier this week, part way through a gruelling horse ride for charity from the Indian Ocean to the South Atlantic, was attractive willowy ash blonde, 25-year-old Yolande Geyser, from Pretoria.

Aimed at raising funds for handicapped children and those with life threatening illnesses, the sponsored Solo Horse Ride Expedition had a set target of raising R2 million (about $7 million) but, since crossing into Zimbabwe, Yolande has learnt of a deserving case for which no less than $4 million is needed.
