Zambia: Lusaka Gets First Female Mayor

Lusaka, Zambia (PANA) — The election of Patricia Nawa, 51, as the 17th mayor of Lusaka is a first for a female in the city's 60-year history.

Nawa will preside over the city's civic affairs for the next three years as the town's eighth indigenous civic leader since the country's independence in 1964.
