Senegal: Civic Education Needed In Female Circumcision Ban

Dakar, Senegal (PANA) — The Senegalese minister of family affairs, social action and national solidarity, Aminata Mbengue Ndiaye, has set up a committee to monitor violence that is perpetrated against women.

The committee comprises NGOs, women's promotion associations and donors involved in efforts to curb violence against women, especially female circumcision.
