Uganda: Sir Ndyakira Amooti Laid To Rest At His Ancestral Home

Kampala — A former senior environment reporter and conservationist Sir Ndyakira Amooti was on Friday laid to rest at his home village in Ibanda sub district.

He died on Wednesday of leukemia at Nsambya Hospital. Hundreds of mourners were stunned when after a series of eulogies, the coffin was opened and the body removed to be wrapped in a palm-leaf mat before it was lowered in a shallow grave dug near the house of the deceased.
