Congo-Brazzaville: Congolese Bishops Call For Cease-fire

Brazzaville, Congo (PANA) — Bishops in the Republic of Congo Monday urged all the protagonists in the ongoing crisis to observe a cease-fire before 15 October to end the suffering of the population.

"We as pastors with sorrowful hearts are making this urgent appeal so that a cease-fire can be rapidly declared before the 15th of October," the bishops wrote President Denis Sassou Nguesso and his opponents.
