Uganda: Afrigo to Play At MP Lukyamuzi's Wedding

Kampala — Member of Parliament for Lubaga South, John Ken Lukyamuzi Mutuuzaliiso, will soon officially wed with his long time companion, Mary, The Monitor has learnt.

Ken and Mary plan to tie the knot on Oct. 28, 2000 at Ndeeba Catholic Church.

The two have lived together for several years and have a number of children.

Lukyamuzi told The Monitor yesterday that after the Church ceremony, he and Mary will entertain their guests at Ggaba Resort Beach. He said Uganda's premier band, Afrigo, will play at the reception.

An excited Lukyamuzi said after the reception at Ggaba, there will be a big party for all his constituents at Pope Paul Memorial Centre in Ndeeba.

"The Ndeeba function will be the after-party, where all my constituents will be entertained," said the maverick legislator.

He said at Ndeeba, guests will be treated to traditional music and dances by Tebifanana Abifuna group. The news of Lukyamuzi's wedding has excited his constituents.
