Tanzania: Mandela Proposes Burundi Speaker As Interim President

Dar Es Salaam — Retired South African President,Nelson Mandela has proposed the Burundian National Assembly Speaker, Leonce Ngendakimana, to be president of a transitional government, it have been reported.

The Guardian newspaper, a Tanzania daily, reports here that Mandela was of the opinion that Ngendakimana should lead a proposed transitional government and not any other persons.
